Christina is an Interior Architect by profession, having graduated with Honours from RMIT in 2010 with her Industry recognised installation ‘Cirrus’. Her enjoyment of problem solving through design stems from her desire to create an experience for people to enjoy. Through her professional work she has contributed to many commercial projects in Australia and Internationally, both large and small in scale. In parallel, her desire to use her skills in a directed, meaningful way came to fruition when volunteering abroad on a design and build project in India.
Woodworking for Christina is a natural progression of integrating practical sensibilities with her desire to produce enjoyment through experience. She was a student at Handsome & Co for a couple of years before she started her residency and is thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of the community. She endeavours to gradually extend her practice of woodworking to produce thoughtful, functional furniture.
