This two-day short course is ideal for anybody wanting to learn about forming solid timber in arcs and curves for use in studio furniture and or sculpture.
The course covers a range of bending methods, addressing both traditional and modern approaches to forming wood into curves. Learn about the best woods for bending, the basic tools, equipment, and processes used for forming a successful curve.
Students will gain an understanding and experience practical knowledge in the following bending methods; Steam Bending, Laminate Bending, Kerf Bending, Hot-Pipe Bending.

This course is intended to engage individuals with little or no prior experience, who wish to build their own furniture or others who may already have some prior woodworking / furniture making experience.
Class numbers are limited to ten students, to ensure that each individual is given adequate time and assistance.
