Industrial Woodworking Studio / Bench Spaces for Rent. Suitable for creative designer/makers.
Handsome & Co is a school for furniture design. Providing skills and business training for artists and designers and fine woodworking skills to adult students attending evening woodworking courses.
We are also offering a few spaces in our shared workshop, for a bench and a tool cabinet (bench, hand tools and cabinet not provided). You will have access to our fully equipped machine room. Machines are maintained sharp, tuned and presented ready for use.
- $100 p/w for a bench space 3m x 2m
- $200 p/w for a bench space 3m x 4m
Machines include:
Panel Saw, Thicknesser, Surface Planer/Jointer, Bandsaw, Drill Press, Router Table, Drop Saw, Wood Lathe and a large Disc and Bobbin Sander.
We will provide an affordable workshop environment, setup for industrial making and experimentation in modern manufacturing techniques. Handsome & Co will provide a creative and safety conscious environment, with the provision of equipment intrinsic to the manufacture of quality products. This type of workspace will allow either novice or experienced designer / makers to turn skills acquired from study and training into industry applications.
Located in Richmond, the studio itself is conveniently located close to public transport, both tram and train points are within walking distance and parking is readily available right at the front door.
We currently do not have space available for rent, but we keep applications on file and welcome expressions of interest still.
